Olusegun Mimiko

Olusegun Rahman Mimiko pronounced in Yoruba as Olúṣẹ́gun Mímikò was born on 3 October 1954. Born and raised in Ondo town, Ondo state, Nigeria, he began his political career.

He began his political career at medical school and graduated from the University of Ife now Obafemi Awolowo University. Olusegun is a Nigerian doctor and politician (Ondo Central District’s senatorial candidate of the Zenith Labour Party in the 2019 election).

He served as the 16th, and fifth civilian, Governor of Ondo State, Nigeria between February 2009 to February 2017. Mr. Mimiko is also the first two-term governor of Ondo state and the first Labour Party governor in Nigeria.

Kelechi Iheanacho

Kelechi Iheanacho

The Nigerian professional footballer and Leicester City, Kelechi Promise Iheanacho listen spelled as Ịheanachọ in Igbo was born on 3 October 1996.

The forward player for both the Nigerian and Leicester team has since he began his football career, attained an admirable height.

Iheanacho was among the Nigerian team that won the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup and the Nigeria U-20 team at the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup. He also played his debut game for Nigeria in 2015 and has since then played in subsequent senior games.

Iheanacho began his senior career at Manchester City during the 2015–16 season. He moved to Leicester City in 2017 for a reported £25 million fee. We say a very happy birthday to you sir and many happy returns.

Leon Jacobs

Leon Jacobs is a Nigerian-American professional footballer born on October 3, 1995. He is the oldest of the four children of his parents Thereasa (nurse) and Tony (an entrepreneur).

He was given an Igbo name Somgolie Nwude. He is a football linebacker and a free agent. Leon played college football at Wisconsin. His last appearance as a footballer was at Bishop Montgomery High School before he migrated to basketball.
