It has not been too long since china first released 5G technology even so 6G is already in development. When it comes to broadband and technology in general China always seem to take the lead. On 6th November, China successfully launched the world’s first 6G satellite into orbit. Once again China has taken the lead and if the tests go well, be expecting 6G access very soon.

6G is expected to be 100 times faster than its 5G counterpart.

This was just a “test launch” to check out it’s functionality. It was launched with 12 other satellites from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, Shanxi Province.

High-speed technology will be trialed, which will be one of the core elements of sixth-generation communications.

Sources state that the satellite will also be used for crop disaster monitoring and preventing forest fires.
