#EndSars: Buratai reacts to investigative report from CNN

Lt. Gen. Buratai Tukur the chief of Nigerian Army Staff has reacted to the investigative report shown by CNN today. He still insists that the Nigerian Army were professional in it’s conduct.
Do recall, the shooting incident that happened late October 2020. The Nigerian army were accused of shooting innocent #EndSars protesters which they denied totally till date.

CNN released an investigative report on all that happened that very night. They gave evidence on the bullets used, the victims and injuries they sustained. They video gave high insight of all that happened that night. CNN also claimed all effort to provide the army with gathered evidence and get a direct response were futile.

While receiving members of the House of Representatives committee on Army at the Army headquarters on Wednesday, Gen. Buratai made a statement.

As stated by him;

“Let me assure you and all Nigerians that the Nigerian Army is a professional Army. We follow our rules of engagement. Nigerians should feel safe.

“We abide by rules of engagement and the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria.”
