PDP Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) coordinator for the Southwest and former Osun State governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola along with some top PDP officials, boasts of victory in the 2023 elections.
He made this statement yesterday along with former National Vice Chairman PDP, South-West zone, Dr. Eddy Olafeso and Publicity Secretary of the zone, Chief Sanya Atofarati, assuredly that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, would win.
PDP in the Southwest meets and boasts to conquer APC in 2023 presidential poll
The trio confirmed this in a one-to-one telephone conversations with The Guardian Newspapers, assuring PDP members not to be bothered on the ongoing crisis in the party.
The crisis is due to the forced resignation of the National Chairman, Senator Iyorchia Ayu, as he may hinder the party from winning the 2023 general elections.
After a strategizing meeting with Southwest PDP leaders in Ibadan, Oyo state on how to win the elections, Oyinlola said, “Victory is certain for Atiku as APC has nothing to the campaign, considering the serious mess Nigeria currently finds itself, which has never been in the history of the country.”
The meeting held at the Southwest zonal office of the party and was chaired by the National Vice Chairman of the party in the zone, Honourable Soji Adagunodo, and Oyinlola along with chairmen of the party in Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, and Ekiti states.
Oyinlola said that the meeting was the first of its kind with party officers in that zone since he was appointed the zonal coordinator of the Atiku/Okowa presidential campaigns.
As confirmed by him, the deliberations and conclusions of the meeting were fruitful as the dominant party in the SouthWest is PDP.
According to Olafeso, Nigerians have put the APC and PDP to the test, and the style of governance of both parties will determine how the public votes on February 25 and March 11, 2023 across the country.
“It would be suicidal to hand over the country to the APC for another four years.”
According to Atofarati, the party’s dilemma is not as significant as the ruling party’s, and some in the media have exaggerated it.
“The demand that Ayu resign in order to promote a sense of belonging, equity, and justice will be settled as quickly as possible,” he stated.
