Racheal Okonkwo’s Biography and Early Life

Racheal Okonkwo otherwise known as Nkoli Nwa Nsukka, was born on May 26th, 1987 in Nsukka, Enugu State. She also hails from Ukpata in the Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State, Southeastern Nigeria.

Rachael Okonkwo had her primary and secondary school education in Nsukka, Enugu State, Nigeria. She received her first school leaving certificate as well as her West African Senior School Certificate there.

Rachael proceeded to the University of Nigeria Nsukka, Enugu, Nigeria and bagged a degree in Mass Communication.

Rachael Okonkwo’s Career and Earnings

Rachael started her acting journey in 2005 but any encouraging movie roles. This prompted her to leave acting to dance and make cameo appearances in music videos in Nigeria.

Rachael registered with the Actors Guild Nigeria (AGN) Enugu chapter located at the National Museum, GRA, Enugu. After completing this registration, she officially joined the Nollywood industry in 2007. She then attended movie auditions and starred in a minor movie character.

Rachael played a supporting role alongside Ini Edo and Van Vickers in the 2008 movie, Royal War. She then played another supporting role in the 2010 movie “Open and Close,” alongside Nuela Njibuigbo, Patience Ozokwor, John Okafor, and Charles Inojie.

Nkoli Nwa Nsukka, an indigenous movie produced and directed by Mac Collins Chidebe in 2014, had Rachael Okonkwo playing the lead role. It was this movie role that made Rachael rise to stardom.

This automatically changed her name from Rachael to Nkoli Nwa Nsukka in the minds of her fans. Owing to how gifted, creative, and talented she is, she can play any role given to her and fit in properly. She played one eye, as Amanda also made her known.

Rachael won the African Movie Academy Awards for the Best Indigenous Comedy Actress, the Karis Media Awards’ Comic Actress of the Year, and so many others.

Rachael Okonkwo, as a humanitarian and philanthropist, has engaged in some humanitarian activities to help society. For instance, she yearly organizes a carnival to give free gifts to children and entertainment to maintain the celebrity-fan relationship.

The first edition of the Enugu Children’s Easter Carnival was in 2015, and gifts were shared with children to commemorate the Easter celebration.

Another was that of Onitsha, which took place in 2016 and featured guest appearances by popular actors such as Ken Erics and other top celebrities.

The edition in her hometown attracted 5000 people and featured top celebrities such as Angela Okorie, Nonso Diobi, Slowdog, Ken Erics, Nani Boi, and Eve Esin. The Nsukka Children’s Easter Carnival also got sponsorship from top brands.

Rachael is doing fine in her career, and no doubt, the beautiful actress is a queen in her own kingdom.
