There has been news that the former Lagos state governor and APC’s presidential candidate is sick and is receiving treatment abroad.
However, aides, loyalists, and supporters of Tinubu are making so much effort to defend the healthiness of their candidate on all social media platforms.
This resulted in the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, on Thursday, publicly criticizing Tinubu’s social media handlers over their recent photo uploads.
Sowore publicly criticizes Tinubu handlers, says Nigeria can’t be deceived by photographs
Tinubu along with his aides uploaded a fleet of photos on social media to convince Nigerians that he is sound and healthy.
Sowore in reaction to this said Nigeria has suffered a lot of deception and this can’t happen anymore as the era of deception has expired. He affirmed that Nigerians would no longer be ruled by politicians using photos as proof of life.
This was stated in his tweet: “The era of using photos to deceive and fleece unsuspecting citizens has passed! Thanks to @MBuhari, who scammed these bogies, Nigerians can’t be fooled by these old antiquated gimmicks and antics by @officialABAT handlers. Nigerians won’t be governed by photographs anymore”.
With the recent uncalculated display of the APC candidate and his aides, APC national chairman, Adamu Abdullahi says why APC would lose the election as he doesn’t have the full support of governors.
He met with the leadership of the APC, the National Working Committee (NWC), members of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), and the leadership of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) on Wednesday over the controversial campaign council list.
While Speaking to journalists, Abdullahi Adamu forewarned that the leadership of the APC must determine what was right and enforce it as long as it is within the framework of INEC’s guidelines.
His open remarks restated the need for the governors to support the party win the 2023 presidential poll.
He remarked, “Been the chief executive officers of their various states, the onus of our great party lies in the hands of God and their hands because they are the commanders of the party fortunes in their various states.
“We cannot make meaningful progress in the affairs of these states, particularly in an election year that is approaching. We cannot plan without the buy-in of our governors so that we can stand together, believing that we share the same aspirations.
“We will plan together to see how best we can deliver the interest of the party and ensure that victory is ours in the 2023 general election that is around the corner. That is the essence of this meeting.”
