The Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer, Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems was born on June 11, 1995.
She gained notoriety when she appeared on Wizkid’s 2020 single, “Essence,” which received a Grammy Award nomination and ranked number ten on the Billboard Hot 100 after being released in a remix with a cameo from Justin Bieber.
She appeared in Drake’s song “Fountains” the same year.
Tems discloses she won’t be performing at the ‘Tukutane festival’ in Kenya
However, in other news, the multi-talented award-winning singer, songwriter, and performer, Tems has expressed her disappointment in not being able to give her fans a show.
The singer revealed on her social media platform in the late hours of Thursday, October 6, 2022, that this was due to reasons and circumstances beyond her control.
The singer apologized ahead of the Tukutane festival, slated to hold on the 15th of October, 2022 in Kenya.
Taking to the micro-blogging app, Tems revealed that this is due to circumstances beyond her control. Tems also promised to make it up to them as soon as she can.
“Hey, Kenya. Honestly, it’s quite heartbreaking to say this but I will not be able to perform at the Tukutane Festival due to circumstances beyond my control.
I am as disappointed as you all are but I look forward to coming and giving you the show that you deserve. Love you all”
