You might not be familiar with them. But we will highlight the top 10 richest Nigerian programmers of the modern day to keep you inspired.

The world is going digital, and technology is enveloping every sector of the world. This is why programming is very lucrative this time around.

The beautiful thing is that Nigerians are not left behind, as Nigerian programmers are also pulling in millions of Naira.

Oluwaseun Akinrinlola

Oluwaseun Akinrinlola graduated from SMC University Zug, Switzerland. He owns a Microsoft Professional Certificate.

He has accumulated over nine years of experience in business rules extraction, software/application development, enhancement, and support.

In 2005, he started off as a solution developer at Concept Nova and STPL. He went on to work as Nova’s senior software developer in 2009.

Oluwaseun Akinrinlola is currently working as a senior software developer for First Bank of Nigeria. The programmer has made a name for himself as someone who is highly professional.

Oluwaseun designed a high-level architecture that was used in developing a Web-based e-CofO for the Lagos State Government.

Prosper Otemuyiwa

Prosper Otemuyiwa developed the Laravel Hackathon Starter Pack. This package was specially built for starters to learn to program quickly and fast.

Prior to this, Prosper was a Google developer expert and a technical writer for Auth0. His programming skills have ranked him second in the top trending chart of GitHub PHP developers globally in 2016, after Facebook.

He has attained a level of financial freedom owing to his technicality and hard work.

Prosper worked with some software startups like Anakel and Andela and has recently been working remotely for his US employer.

Segun Famisa

Segun Famisa, a software engineer, developed Android applications and programs in Kotlin, Java, and Python, and also got into robotics.

Segun graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University in the department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering.

Segun is currently working as an android software engineer at Trivago in Düsseldorf, Germany. He previously worked as a senior technical consultant and software engineer at Andela and Konga Online Shopping Limited, respectively. He also worked as an Android app developer for Truppr, and as software engineer at iQube Labs.

He has gained so much expertise and jobs that fetch him a lot of money, and this ranks him amongst the richest Nigerian programmers.

Ire Aderinokun

Ire graduated from the University of Bristol with a degree in Experimental Psychology and went on to get a Masters’s degree in Law in the year 2014.

Ire Aderinokun delved into programming after her degree. She is a female UI designer, Front-End developer, and Google expert in web technologies, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript specialist.

Ire currently heads design and product at Big Cabal, publishers of Big Cabal and Zikoko. The beautiful thing about Ire is how she learnt front-end programming on her own and it has turned out to be amazing.

Obinwanne Hill

Obinwanne Hill graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Technology Owerri.

He is a professional in Web development, design, applications, and JavaScript. Obinwanne Hill is the CEO and founder of ContentOmni and Restive.

This is a development and ideation company that works on different principal concepts and interface-friendly tools that help to make the web super-fast, contextual and responsive.

He currently ranks among the top ten Nigerian programmers owing to his hard work and skills.

Miriam Wampana

Miriam Wampana, a female programmer, currently works at the American University of Nigeria as a senior software developer.

She has gained expertise in programming, and has developed web and mobile applications. She specializes in web development; web design; PHP; Python; JavaScript, etc.

Miriam graduated from the University of Plymouth with a degree in Computer Science. This was after obtaining a degree in Information and Communication Science from the Federal University of Technology, Yola-Nigeria  in 2010.

With her various experiences and practising positions, she ranks among the top richest Nigerian programmers.

Daniel Okechukwu

Daniel Okechukwu, also known as DannyOkec, is a software developer, AI and machine learning expert, and web developer. He contributed greatly to the digital world by creating forex trading bots and virtual football automated betting software.

Danny established multiple platforms like Land9ja, Car9ja, and 4Hire. Danny ranks second on the top trending chart of PHP developers in Nigeria, and this has increased his financial prominence.

Falade Gbenga

Falade Gbenga is a software engineer who specializes in developing web applications with PHP. Falade authored several books on the subject, including “Building Dynamic Websites with PHP and MySQL” and “Building Secure PHP Applications.”

He is a senior software developer at Access Bank Plc, ITANDT Solutions Limited, and First Bank of Nigeria. Falade has attained a lot of feats in his career.

Gbenga also works as a senior software engineer at PayPal, overseeing the development of the company’s web applications.

Makinwa Olubukola

Makinwa Olubukola is a software engineer and database administrator who specializes in the development of web applications. She has worked for companies such as Microsoft, PayPal, and the United Nations.

Makinwa is the founder of Code for Africa, which is a non-profit organization that tries to increase computer programming access in African countries.

She’s on the board of directors for the Nigerian Coding Initiative, a non-profit organization that works to increase the number of women in computing.

Moyinoluwa Adeyemi

Moyinoluwa graduated from Obafemi Owolowo University, Ile-Ife with a degree in Computer Science. She worked with Swifta Systems and Services International, a centre for excellence in software engineering. She currently works as an android app developer at organizations such as  Google Developers Group, Off-Grid Electric, and other organizations.

She is dedicated to working hard in the programming world and ranks among the top female Nigerian programmers.
