Elon Reeve Musk was born in Pretoria, South Africa on June 28, 1971. Mr Musk moved to Canada at the age of 17 and gained citizenship through his Canada-born mother. He is a citizen of South Africa, Canada and America.

Elon Musk came from a wealthy family, his parents divorced in 1980 and he decided to like with his father. This decision was later regretted by Elon Musk and currently, he is estranged from his father.

At age 10, Elon Musk developed an interest for computer programming and video games. He sold a BASIC-based game he developed to PC and Office Technology magazine at the age of 12 for $500.

Elon Musk went to Queen’s University and two years later, he transferred to University of Pennsylvania where he got a bachelors degree in Economics and Physics.
