Karim Mostafa Benzema (the French national) was born on the 19th of December, 1987 to Wahida Djebbra and Hafid Benzema. His birth occurred in Lyon, France.
Growing up, it was known that Benzema wasn’t just French but also partly Algerian. He was brought up in a Muslim family and traditions. Karim Benzema, alongside his seven other siblings, partook of the Ramadan fast even till this day.

Karim Benzema’s quest for the game helped him earn a position with the Lyon youth team. Prior to that, Karim Benzema scored two goals against the youth team at the U-10 match.
