Tips to decorate your home Beautifully

A beautiful home makes you comfortable and don’t want to leave. Your home can have that look of comfort and warmth by making the right choices in your home decor.

In case you’re the type who doesn’t love being guided, and you love design, you won’t meet up with your taste.

Tips to decorate your home Beautifully

This is because even interior designers still learn to meet up to the current design, globally. They teach you how to use color, texture, and even some personality to make a difference in your home.

If you don’t have time to learn, some professionals project the strength of your home, hide its flaws, and make it appealing to the eye. These Pros help you out with your decoration needs.

There are however some shared tips to make your home look lovely and divine.

Use warm colours for the wall and entrance

Your paintings either welcome or scare a visitor. When painting, paint the doors with shiny colours. This creates a fantastic impression on the visitor. To emphasize the importance of colours, Lara Allen-Brett, a stager based in New Jersey says, “Red is a lucky colour in many cultures.”

For instance, a red door means ‘welcome’ to some tired travellers in early America and means a haven in churches. Some other shiny colours include Orange, and yellow.

These bright colours are related to warmth and joy and can be used in your bathroom and living room.

Neutral colours like beige or grey in the entrances leading to the other rooms project warmth. They aid in flexibility while decorating your home and you won’t have an issue finding matching accessories.

Create a conversation with your Chairs and Sofas

In some homes, you see the sofas and chairs pushed against the walls. This is an old-time arrangement. An improvement in home decor suggests arranging your furniture in groups that look like they’re having a conversation.

Michelle Lynne, a Dallas-based stager, says, “A conversation area that has a U-shape, with a sofa and two chairs facing each other at each end of the coffee table, or an H-shape, with a sofa directly across from two chairs and a coffee table in the middle, is ideal,”

She added, “People do that because they think it will make their room look bigger, but in reality, floating the furniture away from the walls makes the room feel larger”.

Adopt Natural lights in your Kitchens and rooms

Natural light is essential because it makes the room calm and open. This is why window dressings should radiate this beauty. If you have any natural light in your home go for light colours that can’t fade.

Choose lightweight fabrics like cotton, linen, etc for your window dressings. Don’t forget that whether there’s much natural light or not, you should go for the right curtains as it adds a feel.

Hang Mirrors perpendicular to your Windows

Breinig once said, “Mirrors can make a space feel brighter because they bounce the light around the room,”. If you hang them in the wrong spot, you shouldn’t have them at all.

When light hits on a reflective surface, it bounces back. This is why the mirrors should be placed perpendicular to the windows, not opposite them. Having mirrors also make the room look larger and more open.

A touch of green in your home

It’s true there are a lot of warm colours but nothing hits as having a green touch in your home. Designers advise that the easiest way to beautify your room is by having a touch of green or even flowers.

Either in green florals, plants, vases, paintings, etc. Just make sure there’s something green in your home.

Explore creativity in your home

Creativity is the basis of a beautiful home. Bring out that creativity in your imagination. You can use a modern leather loveseat instead of plastic chairs for seating.

Mix different colours for your paintings in a stylish way the designer Anthony Gianacakos said, “My strong suit is colour and pattern combination,”

You can also hang your favourite artwork too. If you also can make your favourite art sketches, why not.  However, it shouldn’t be hung so high as Breining said “There are few things more ridiculous-looking than hanging dinky little art too high on the wall,”

Have the middle of the frame at eye level, and this can be done by averaging the heights of tall and short persons. This way, everyone gets the feel of the art.

Use wallpaper on your appliances, and don’t forget to change your tiles

If you’ve got tiles in your kitchen and bathrooms, you should always change them. You either paint your tiles or change them entirely. Remember, tiles are the main designs in the bathrooms and Kitchen.

Suppose it’s wallpapering in such areas, use colourful ones and change them constantly. Remember, you should also focus on the flooring, tile, and paint colour of these areas as this is the main eye-catcher of the room.

You can also wrap ugly appliances with removable wallpapers to aid in the impressive look of the home you seek.

Have a room designed purposely for meditation

Mellisa Rufty of Southern Library says, “I wanted it to feel like being wrapped in a warm blanket”.

As humans, at the end of our daily activities, we’ll need a personal sanctuary. Yes, it’s just a sanctuary,  but you can give it that sanctuary look through your designs. You can also paint the walls with warm colours.

You can have your favourite quote rightly crafted in a frame and hung on the wall. Also, you can hang your favourite artwork on the wall too. These aids in Creating a Cozy and Quiet Room

Create a cabinet for your Electronic gadgets like Air conditioners, radiators, heaters, etc

Placing these gadgets on the wall isn’t so appealing to the eye. The reason you should construct a cabinet making them part of the room.

Gadgets like radiators, air conditioners, etc., can also be safeguarded in such a cabinet to prevent the entry of dirt. Of course, the cabinet is painted in a colour complementary to the painting in the room.

Adopt these tips and watch out to beautify your home you’ll get as visitors won’t want to leave your home when they come.
