Home Alone

Every growing child watched this movie during Christmas and if you haven’t, this is a great watch. With the lead character Macaulay Culkin, this is a classic movie of all time.

In this movie, Eight-year-old Kevin McCallister is forgotten by his family who left for Paris without him.

As he was alone at home, he got attacked by burglars. He did his best to defend his home skillfully. The robbers got lots of injuries at each trial to break in. The fun in how he does this is a must-watch. So, why haven’t you watched it?

 

Die Hard

A not-so-Christmas movie, with some Christmas scenes in it and lots of violence. Not so good for a family with kids, but if you’ve not got kids, you should watch this.

The terrorist all dressed in Santa suits and Christmas trees on sight during a fight is enough factor to categorize it as a Christmas movie. It played to show how good conquered evil in the end.

 

A Naija Christmas

In every African home, it’s expected you should settle down with a partner. If you love the African tradition, this is for you.

A Nigerian Netflix movie where the late Racheal Oniga cajoles her sons to bring someone home for Christmas. The three sons set out with determination to find wives before Christmas.

In anticipation of this, their mum prepares a beautiful Christmas celebration. A must-watch.

 

It’s A Wonderful Life

Another movie for this season is “It’s a wonderful life”, It didn’t get many views on its release but won an Academy Technical Achievement in 1948, which brought it to the limelight.

Focused on George Bailey, a local businessman struggling to balance failure in finances with an unhappy home. On his way to attempt suicide on a bridge, he met Clarence, his guardian angel.

The guardian angel reminded Clarence of all the good things in his life. A hope-filled story that you should watch.

 

The Snowman

A story of a young boy and his friendship with a snowman. It was heartbreaking with its ending. It’s a magical and simple movie that hasn’t lost track of being among the best Christmas movie in history.

With in-track music “Walking in the air by Peter Auty” that’s all calming and soothing, this is a great choice for Christmas eve.
