Women’s Population and Factors that affects them

Women’s Population and Factors that affects them

In almost every organization and setting, the women’s population tends to be larger than the men’s. However, there are still some factors that affect the women’s population. Here we’ll take a look at the women’s population and the factors affecting them.

Women’s Population and Factors that affects them

The population of men to women is slightly equal, as in a total of 1000 people, 50.4% are men, and 49.6% are female. This used to be the reverse before, as there were many more women than men before.

Despite the fact that males have a larger risk of dying than women, women still have a subtly lower population risk than men, and this is especially true in the female population.

According to statistical data, the global population is estimated to be 8 billion people. We’ll, however, give a breakdown of the population of females based on demography.

With the above table, it’s known that the percentage of females is sometimes half the population’s percentage, while sometimes their percentage is very low. We’ll therefore evaluate some factors that affect the population growth of women.

Factors affecting the Women’s Population

A lot of factors affect the female population, ranging from life transitions like pregnancy and menopause to negative life experiences.

This is why we’ve evaluated some factors that affect women and contribute to the subtle decrease or increase of the female population.

Too much care and support

Females care at an extremely high rate. They care for their partners, parents, siblings, relatives, and children. Women are the best carers you can ever ask for.

They sometimes even care for co-workers and people they value. This is a nice quality, but having to care so much about someone can result in you worrying so much.

This is where cases of high blood pressure, hypertension, and even palpitations arise, and this could lead to death in extreme cases.

Relationship issues

Females tend to value a lot of relationships, ranging from family relationships to romantic relationships. This is why when such valuable relationships get ruptured or even fall by the wayside, women tend to get mental health issues.

Women who either get divorced, separated or even break up from relationships can feel sad and lose interest in things that make them happy, and this leads to depression and some suicidal thoughts.

Violence or abuse

Women are also victims of domestic violence or abuse. We hear of cases of domestic violence that take the lives of enduring women. Also, cases of abusive sexual relations that are sometimes regarded as rape have resulted in some STI’s and injuries and, in extreme cases, resulted in death.

Emotional abuse could also result in the resort of some women to drug addiction to gain mental stamina. We all know the negative effect of drug addictions on the human system. Some women also resort to alcohol intake to relieve some emotional stress.

Reproductive factors—infertility, stillbirths, miscarriages

There are a lot of reproductive factors that can affect the birth rate and death rates of females. Cases of stillbirth, miscarriage, and even continuous childbirth can put a woman’s life in danger.

When a woman loses her child during pregnancy or even on the day of delivery, it has an impact on her mental health.

In cases when they have to give birth to a particular sex, they keep giving birth, and this stresses their body makeup and sometimes results in the death of either child or mother in the long run.

Menopause

Menopause is a phase in a woman’s life that affects the hormonal system. This is the phase with the highest rate of mental health problems. Perimenopause (hormonal changes in the years that lead to menopause) can result in mood swings and hostility.

Some aftereffects of this phase are hot flashes, night sweats, changes in sleep patterns, and sometimes weight gain. These are things that result in mental degradation.

Early menopause can disrupt the relationship level between a woman and her family members or significant other. This is why family members should employ the services of the family doctor to monitor and recommend some solutions in case of depression sets in.
