Zubby Michael’s Biography
Zubby Michael’s full name is Azubuike Michael Egwu. He was born on 1 February 1985 in Anambra state, Nigeria.
Zubby grew up in Adamawa State, Nigeria, where he had his primary and secondary school education. He then furthered his education at Nnamdi Azikwe University, Anambra State where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication.
Zubby Michael started acting at a very young age. He starred in his first movie, ‘missing rib’ after he completed his first degree and returned to Adamawa State. His popularity rose in Nollywood when he starred in the movie titled ‘The three widows’. In 2006, he became very popular went on to act in many other Nollywood movies.
Some of his work include; ‘Implication’, ‘The Generals’, ‘Princess Rihanna’, ‘The killer’, ‘Stolen love’, and many other movies over the years. He is mostly popular for taking roles of a rugged hit man or villain.
Zubby is currently single and has a son he keeps away from the media. He was in a relationship with Mary Okoye, sister to Paul and Peter Okoye famously known as psquare. This relation ship was broken off due to certain conflicts.
On 25 November 2019 he was appointed into a political position as the Special Adviser on Media to the Anambra State governor Willie Obiano. He was awarded a certificate of recognition for his contribution to the City Radio 89.7 fm youth empowerment initiative in Anambra State.
