Jan Oblaq Biography and Early Life
Jan Oblaq, nicknamed “La Pared,” was born on January 7, 1993 in Škofja Loka, Slovenia. Having a passion for football, Jan Oblaq started playing football at age five for the local club Ločan.
Jan Oblaq had a sports background as his sister, Teja, is a Slovenian basketball player. He grew up in his home town of Slovenia before moving to Portugal to join the super-club, Benfica, in 2010.

Jan Oblak began his football career by joining the Slovenian club Olimpija Ljubljana in 2009. He then started off his professional career at age 17 by signing a deal with the Benfica club.
