Seinfield was born in Brooklyn, New York on 29th April 1954. His mother (Betty Hosni) was of Syrian descent and his father (Kalman) was of Hungarian descent and a World War II veteran. Both were raised in Jewish homes.
Growing up in Massapequa, he attended Massapequa High School, Long Island. In his early years in high school, he voluntarily joined the Israel Army.
He had his university education at State university Oswego and Queens College two years later, graduating with a degree in Communications and theatre.
