Liquorose Biography and Early Life

Roseline Omokhoa Afije was born on 31st of March, 1995 to Mr. and Mrs. Omokhoa. She was  born in Lagos state and hails from Edo state, Nigeria.

Liquorose had her primary and secondary school education from Itire Nursery and Primary school and  Del International College, Ijeshatedo, Surulere, Lagos State, Nigeria respectively.

She grew up in Lagos and earned a degree from University of Lagos.

Lagos-bred Liquorose loved dancing while she was little and was very hard-working to fend for her family and loved ones. She was not just interested in dancing alone, but also in the entertainment industry. 

The multi-talented lady ventured into dancing by posting a lot of her dancing videos in social media, hence gaining some level of popularity. Due to her constant commitment to dancing, Clarence Peters, the Nigerian music video director, discovered her and joined her with E4ma and Ellaley in one of his videos.

The trio later on formed a dance group, Girls Gone Bold, a.k.a. GGB Dance Crew. The dance crew featured in a lot of Nigerian artists’ music videos.  Liquorose, E4ma, and Ellaley have featured in music videos of 2baba, P-Square, D’banj, Don Jazzy, Davido, Wizkid, Olamide, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Flavor, Mr Eazi, Seyi Shay, Timaya, Ycee, Iyanya,…

Liquorose’s talent has gained her access to perform in big shows like Headies Award, Skales album launch, MOTY (on 26th June 2016), Gidi Fest, Falz industry night (on 18th November 2016), MTV Road to MAMA and Project Fame.

Liquorose was also an actor. The award-winning and widely watched Nigerian TV drama series “The Johnsons,” which premiered in 2012, catapulted her to fame.

Liquorose also starred in a 2015 movie “The OAP” and also in the 2016 movie “HEX”. She competed in the 2021 Big Brother Naija “Shine ya eye” season 6 and was the first runner-up of the competition.
