Mr. Eazi’s Biography and Early Life

Oluwatosin Ajibade, also known Mr Eazi, was born on 19th July 1991 in Port Harcout, Nigeria. His parents are entrepreneurs, his mother a small business owner and his father a pilot with his private aviation consulting practice enterprise.

Mr. Eazi had grew up in Lagos State, Nigeria where he had his primary and secondary school education. He obtained both his First School Leaving Certificate and his West Africa Senior School Certificate in Lagos.

He later on moved to Kumasi Ghana at age 16, and attended the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. There he obtained a degree in mechanical Engineering.

Recently, he enrolled and finished a course on Business of Entertainment, Media, and Sports from Harvard University.

 

Mr. Eazi’s Career and Earnings

Mr. Eazi, while growing up had a flair for music. This reflected by him joining the school’s choir and dancing along to his fathers playlist while having his breakfast.

He kickstarted his musical career while in Ghana by contributing guest vocals to the song, “My Life”. The music garnered audience in the whole of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

Mr. Eazi had already owned a party and promotion company, Swagger Entertainment that booked shows and promote events on the the Kwame campus. His debut mixtape “Skin Tight”, gained him so much popularity and followers wayback 2015.

Mr. Eazi also pioneered the Banku Music- Ghanaian, Pidgin English, and Nigeria pattern of music. Some other music credited to him are Leg Over, Dance for me in 2018, Bad Vibe in 2018, AKWAABA in 2018, Dabebi in 2018, Pour me Water in 2018.

Mr. Eazi performed at the 2019 Coachella event. He has gotten recognitions and awards like 2016 WatsUp TV Africa Musiv Video Awards—Special Recognition Award Music Video Africa,  Best New Artiste at the 2016 Soundcity MVP Awards, 2016 The Headies Awards —Next Rated,  and 2016 Nigeria Entertainment Awards—Most Promising Act To Watch.

Mr. Eazi returned to Nigeria at age 23 and worked at Schlumberger before launching his e-commerce platform. His business involves soft drinks importation, gold mining, and food distribution. He told Highsnobiety he started about six business ventures.

For instance, in 2016, Mr. Eazi established emPawa Africa with the emPawa 100 initiative that give grants to upcoming artists across various African countries.  The funding aids in shooting a musical video and aid in digital marketing.

Mr. Eazi, recently engaged Temi Otedola, daughter of the the Nigerian Billionaire, Femi Otedola in April 2022. He met Temi at DJ Cuppy’s event in 2016. That was some months into his musical career and rumors had it that they were dating this is why their engagement wasn’t a surprise.

This also boosted his famosity. Mr. Eazi is not just an ordinary singer but a successful one too.
