You can check your MTN number by dialing the USSD code *663# or *123*1*1# on your mobile device (Updated Code 2022). The code must be dialed using the MTN sim card whose number you want to check. There are other methods you can use to check your MTN number if you lost or forgot it.

Sometimes, you can forget your number especially if you have multiple SIM cards on the same network. If you have more than one MTN sim, it can become difficult to keep track of which sim is which. This articles will explain all the possible methods you can use to check your forgotten MTN number.

How To Check MTN Number Using USSD

Just as explained above, if you have the sim card whose number you want to check follow these steps.

  • Insert sim into a charged mobile phone(any phone will do, it doesn’t have to be android)
  • Once the phone is ON and the network bar has come up, dial *123#
  • A list of various option will come up select 1 which is “Account Information”
  • A different result will appear, select 1 again which is “My Phone Number”
  • A pop up message appears in the format “Yello, your phone number is 2349030000000”
  • You also receive a message from 131 containing your phone number

Once you get it, you can screenshot, write it down, and save to your contact list so you wont lose it again. The direct USSD code to check your MTN number is *123*1*1# or *663#

Call a Friend or Family

This is the easiest method you can use to check your phone number in an emergency. Simply call a friend, family member or any other available device. Your number will be displayed on the device you called. You can simply request for the number and the user can text it to you or call it out for you.

How to Check Your Number Using MTN Call Me Back 

MTN call me back is a feature that lets a user send some sort of message to another MTN user asking him or her to call you. It is a very handy tool in case of an emergency or when you’re out of airtime. You can use MTN call me back feature 5 times in 24 hours by dialing *133#. After dialing the code, input the number of a user near to you and without the need of airtime, you can get your number. A message will be sent to the user containing your number simply copy it out.

Check Your MTN Number Through MyMTN App

You can easily check your MTN number using MyMTN app. Go to playstore, search and download MyMTN app. Open up the app on your device and tap ‘Check Your Number’. This will show you your MTN mobile number. It will also show you your MTN package and how much money you have on your account.

Check Your MTN Number Using Customer Care

If every other method fails or can’t be done, remember your go to place for every issue “MTN Customer Care”. You can ask them anything, literally, they’ll always be available to assist. Simply dial 180 listen to the prompt and connect to an online representative. You san ask them to text you your number or call it out for you.
